The first 4 minutes:

Tyler: Hello welcome into the fortress of comictude podcast, we are joined again by Kiley from the Nerd dome podcast. To do a review of every other month because DC hates us.. to talk about doomsday clock issue 5

Mary: Specifically, they just hate us

Tyler: yep, lots of spoilers, lots of Han solo stuff, some spawn stuff and Locke and key

Mary: Han Solo stuff?

Tyler: yes, were going to start with that actually. Han Solo. No spoilers or anything so if you haven’t listen to our solo review, were not going to talk about too much detail. As far as plot and stuff goes. But the movie hasn’t been performing up to what their estimations were as far as opening weekend box office and stuff so. My question to you guys is, because this is something that roams around the internet, is there such a thing as star wars fatigue?

Kiley: Yes

Tyler: do you think some people are kind of burnt out from having one from last December to now in May and saying that “I don’t want to go see another one”

Kiley: I don’t know if its “I don’t want to go see it” most of the stuff I heard was just that they didn’t care, you know. It was just a story that we already pieced together

Tyler: we already knew it, yeah

Kiley: we already knew the stuff, it was kind of delving a little deeper into the story

Mary: yeah, it was something we really didn’t need

Tyler: yeah, its hard to put up a spoiler alert because there wasn’t really anything to be spoiled. Like Spoilers they do the Kessel run!

Kiley: this was the first Star Wars I didn’t see opening weekend, we just never had the chance to go

Tyler: I did, and I wasn’t, I mean the whole time leading up to it I was like, I don’t know about this. it was kind of eh but. What do you think, is there such thing as Star Wars fatigue?

Mary: I don’t know, I’m not burnt out on it. I’m not burnt out on Star Wars about again, yeah it was just a story I dint really need it. it was aright

Tyler: why do you think so many people stayed home last weekend and chose not to go see it

Mary: I don’t know

Kiley:  .. the royal wedding...

Mary Tyler Kiley: laugh

Tyler: I think part of it could be maybe, the timing too. Because you know some people only have so much money to go to the movies every so often and it was BOOM Infinity war, BOOM Deadpool2, BOOM Han Solo. Where as its like, god maybe I can’t go to the movies 3 times within the month

Mary: cause its expensive to go to the movies

Tyler: it is, that might have something to do with it

Kiley: and I don’t go a lot, but.

Tyler: well neither do I, I pretty much only go for the super heroes

Kiley: and now its just like you said, everything is just coming out all the time now.

Tyler: yeah, I don’t know if I really believe in the fatigue either, they talk about. “oh people are going to get tired and movie fatigue, its going ot happen at some point

Mary: it’s been 10 years

Tyler: well its been longer than that, because I mean basically. Brian singer’s x-men kind of kicked off this whole age of super heroes

Mary: yeah, but like a consistent 10 years of comic book movies for the Marvel...

Tyler: oh for the MCU

Mary: yeah

Tyler: I don’t like this idea of fatigue because to me comic book movie is not a genre. You know what I mean like westerns are a genre.

Kiley and Mary: yeah

Tyler: I mean I don’t think comic book moves are a genre because I could say Logan, Deadpool, and Sam Ramey Spiderman are all comic book movies. But those movies are completely different for me…..

Kiley: and like a lot of the marvel movies like Winter Soldier

Tyler: yeah and like Guardians of the galaxy is like a Sy-Fy movie. Comic book movie is not a genre

Kiley: just because its based on a comic book movie doesn’t make it a genre

Tyler exactly, exactly why I don’t think there is such thing a fatigue, because Deadpool is an action comedy, and Logan is kind of a western/drama. And Infinity war is kind of everything
